Do you want to know exactly what to supplement your horse or horses? Do you want to feed according to science rather than hear say, myths and fads? Are you fed up with the clever marketing spin? Do you just want to feed your horse the vitamins and minerals he actually needs to balance his diet instead of paying for supplements he doesn’t require? If the answer is YES then look no further we have the solution for you.
ANALYSIS
Targeting the minerals your horse needs with scientific analysis is the first step towards achieving a balanced diet. Minerals are an essential part of the horses diet and without the correct balance of them the proteins, carboyhydrates and fats which provide the horse with energy are compromised. Supplements 4 horses will scientifically analyse your hay or haylage to enable you to target the specific minerals your horse requires to balance his diet.
Forage should make up the majority of your horse’s feed each day. Each time forage is harvested the nutritional content will vary so it is important that you are able to have your forage analysed to enable you to balance his diet accordingly. Supplements 4 horses can design you a supplement specifically to compliment your forage therefore enabling you to ensure your horse is receiving everything he requires from his food. This in turn will help him perform at his best and keep him in tip top condition. You then ONLY need to feed the minerals and vitamins your horse requires instead of overloading and unbalancing his system with a 'general' supplement.
WHAT TO DO NEXT.....
Turnaround times differ for each service. If more than one sample is sent or multiple analyses are required, reports will not be sent out until all reports have been authorised. Times are approximate and rely on Royal Mail.
Samples should fit into an A4 sized bag suitable for freezing.
1. If you have one available, use a corer and take a core diagonally across bales. If
not, split the bales open to obtain mid-bale samples.
2. Sample from several bales (if possible) to obtain a representative sample.
Thoroughly mix the samples in a pile and sub-sample to achieve a final sample of
approximately 250g (½ lb).
3. IMPORTANT. The sample should fill an A4 sized bag so that if we need to re-test
for any reason we have adequate sample to hand.
4. Send your sample securely fastened in a plastic bag, clearly labelled with your
name and a reference number or name if sending more than one sample. Haylage
must be sampled from freshly opened bales and posted immediately after
sampling in an airtight bag. Ensure haylage is posted first class Mon -Weds to
ensure it is received and frozen before the weekend.
5. When collecting grass samples, walk a W across the field and sample from several points on
the way. Use scissors to cut the grass and take care not to include roots or soil in
the sample.
